Arrhythmia occurs in various cardiovascular diseases, but it is also seen in patients with no abnormal heart structure. It can occur at any age, in different situations and in various clinical departments. The onset can be urgent or slow, and the condition can be mild or severe. In severe cases, sudden onset, causing severe hemodynamic disorders and even sudden death; It starts from insidious at first, causing no symptoms or only mild discomfort. Severe cases need emergency treatment or even rescue on the spot. The mild ones are treated differently according to the patient's condition. Emergency management involves not only cardiovascular or emergency specialists, but also physicians of various subjects. In order to popularize rescue knowledge and promote standardized treatment, according to relevant guidelines and research evidence, we gathered the opinions of experts from all parties, and under the auspices of Cardiovascular Branch of Chinese Medical Association, in conjunction with Heart Rhythm Branch of Chinese Biomedical Engineering Society, Evidence-based Medicine Professional Committee of Chinese Medical Doctors Association, and Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Professional Committee of Chinese Gerontology Society, we compiled an expert consensus on emergency treatment of arrhythmia for clinicians to learn from.
