Chinese Journal of Cardiovascular Diseases was founded in February 1973. Academician Wu Yingkai, president of Fuwai Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, was the founding editor. Academician Wu Yingkai is very concerned about young people. At that time, I was studying cardiovascular medicine in Fuwai Hospital, and participated in the observation and research on the clinical treatment of coronary heart disease with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in cooperation between Fuwai Hospital and Xiyuan Hospital. When Academician Wu Yingkai was on the way to Shijiazhuang with me for a meeting, he asked me for my opinion and asked me to serve as the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Cardiovascular Diseases. He also hoped that I would serve as the secretary of the magazine together with Professor Yu Guoying. Naturally, I was very happy to accept this task. One morning in 1973, Academician Wu Yingkai asked us to go to the conference room on the third floor of Fuwai Hospital. He happily showed us the title of Chinese Journal of Cardiovascular Diseases inscribed by Vice Minister Huang Shuze, and congratulated the magazine on its founding. You can see that the magazine still uses the title inscribed by Vice Minister Huang Shuze. When Academician Wu Yingkai displayed the inscription of this journal for the first time that year, the late Vice President Cai Rusheng of Fuwai Hospital and Director Zhu Li of the Scientific Research Office were also present. These few extremely sophisticated brush calligraphy is very attractive, I like it very much, it is really like the person!
