arteriosclerotic occlusion of lower extremity (ASO) is a common chronic ischemic disease, and its prevalence has been increasing in recent years[1]。 The early manifestation of ASO is intermittent claudication, which if not treated promptly will lead to resting pain, ulcers, and even gangrene of the affected limb[2]。 The main treatment methods of ASO include drug therapy, endovascular therapy and open surgery, etc. For patients with lower limb arterial ischemia with multiple lesions of femoral artery and long-segment occlusion who have achieved the indications for surgery, open surgery such as arterial bypass grafting and endarterectomy is usually used[3, 4]。 Our center innovatively used flexible ureteroscope and endarterectomy assisted by descending long-segment endarterectomy of lower limbs for the treatment of long-segment occlusion of superficial femoral artery. The preliminary results of its safety and efficacy are reported below.
