Chronic pancreatitis is a progressive chronic inflammation and fibrosis of pancreatic tissue under the action of multiple factors, which can lead to pancreatic calcification, duct dilation and pancreatic atrophy. Pancreatic duct stones are a characteristic manifestation of chronic pancreatitis, usually caused by obstruction of the pancreatic duct and poor drainage of pancreatic juice, resulting in hypertension of the pancreatic duct and recurrent abdominal pain in the patient. In recent years, minimally invasive therapy, mainly pancreatic extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (P-ESWL) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), has developed rapidly in the treatment of pancreatic duct stones[
Comrade Sheng Zhiyong, an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, former leader of the expert group, chief physician and professor of the 304th Clinical Department of the People's Liberation Army General Hospital, and editorial member of the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th editorial committee of Chinese Journal of Surgery, died in Beijing on the morning of January 27, 2024 at the age of 103 due to ineffective medical treatment.
