paroxysmal kinesigenic dyskinesia (PKD) is the most common paroxysmal dyskinesia, which is mainly manifested by involuntary movements such as exercise-induced chorea and dystonia. It is often misdiagnosed as epilepsy or other seizure diseases clinically. In 2011, domestic experts took the lead in reporting PRRT2, the first pathogenic gene of PKD, and it was widely confirmed. However, there are still some PKD patients who have not detected PRRT2 gene mutation, suggesting that other disease-causing genes may exist.
