Cerebral hemorrhage refers to non-traumatic intraparenchymal hemorrhage, also known as spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage. The death and disability rate of cerebral hemorrhage is higher than that of ischemic stroke (cerebral infarction)[1],It is the most harmful kind of stroke to human life and life ability. China is a country with high incidence of cerebral hemorrhage, and the disease burden of cerebral hemorrhage is more serious. For a long time, the research of cerebral hemorrhage lags behind that of cerebral infarction. In recent years, great attention has been paid to the international community, and the published research reports on cerebral hemorrhage have increased significantly. The classification of cerebral hemorrhage using internationally recognized standards is helpful to standardize the inclusion standards of clinical observational studies and clinical trials of cerebral hemorrhage, and is conducive to the comparison and communication between the results of various studies. At the same time, it is also helpful for the clinic to better select appropriate diagnosis and treatment measures and formulate prevention and treatment strategies for different subtypes, so as to improve the prognosis of cerebral hemorrhage and prevent recurrence. In recent years, the etiological classification has been paid attention by scholars at home and abroad, and many studies have been carried out. The 12th Five-Year Plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China has established a research project on the etiology of cerebral hemorrhage, which will promote the in-depth development of standardized research on cerebral hemorrhage in China.
