1 Feb 2023, International Medical JournalJAMASub-journal (JAMANetwork Open) published online a study led by the Department of Endocrinology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, in collaboration with the Department of Nuclear Medicine, the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University (Hu Jinbo, Xu Tingting, Shen Hang, Song Ying, Li Qifu as co-first authors, Chen Yue, Yang Shumin as co-corresponding authors) "68Value of Ga Pentixafor PET/CT in noninvasive classification of primary hyperaldosteronism " [Hu J, Xu T, Shen H, et al. Accuracy of gallium-68 pentixafor positron emission tomography-computed tomography for subtyping diagnosis of primary aldosteronism. JAMA Netw Open, 2023, 6 (2): e2255609. DOI: 10.1001/jamanetworkopen.2022.55609]. The study found:68The efficacy of Ga-Pentixafor PET/CT in the localization diagnosis of patients with primary aldosteronism (abbreviated as primary aldosteronism) is highly consistent with the current "gold standard" for localization diagnosis of primary aldosteronism-adrenal vein sampling (AVS), suggesting that this non-invasive localization examination method can partially replace AVS and provide a new path for the diagnosis and treatment of primary aldosteronism.
