Neonatal disease screening refers to the maternal and infant health care technology that provides early diagnosis and treatment for congenital and hereditary diseases that seriously endanger the health of newborns during the neonatal period[1]。 Among them, the screening of neonatal genetic metabolic diseases (new screening) is realized by detecting the relevant indicators of filter paper dried blood tablets by laboratory methods. Its procedures include health education, blood collection, inspection, laboratory testing, diagnosis and treatment of positive cases, etc. Among them, blood collection is an important link before analysis in the quality control of new screening laboratory, and the quality of blood films directly affects the laboratory test results. The Technical Specifications for Screening of Neonatal Diseases (2010 Edition) standardizes the blood collection steps and blood quality. However, with the increase of new screening projects and the national screening rate, there are many problems in the actual operation of grass-roots units. After many rounds of discussion, the Expert Committee on Quality Evaluation of Neonatal Disease Screening Rooms of the Clinical Laboratory Center of the National Health and Health Commission organized experts to put forward an expert consensus on the collection, delivery and preservation of newly screened blood tablets, so as to facilitate the more standardized operation of grass-roots units and ensure the quality of blood tablets, thus ensuring the quality of new screening laboratories.
