chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA) is a microarray-based genome copy number variations (CNVs) analysis technology, mainly including array-based comparative genomic hybridization (aCGH) and single nucleotide polymorphism array (SNP array). CMA is a high-resolution genome-wide chromosome variation detection technology. In recent years, its clinical application has been gradually deepened and widespread. Relevant guidelines and expert consensus have been issued at home and abroad to promote its standardized clinical application. In order to further standardize the clinical application of chromosome microarray analysis technology and ensure medical quality and medical safety, the Expert Committee of Prenatal Screening and Diagnosis Interlaboratory Quality Evaluation of Clinical Laboratory Center of National Health Commission organized experts to conduct full discussion, and planned to make norms and suggestions in CMA laboratory technology and other aspects to standardize the application of CMA technology in the field of genetic disease diagnosis. As technology is updated and matured, this consensus will be continuously updated to meet clinical needs.
