The incidence of lung diseases is increasing year by year, especially the high incidence of lung infectious lesions and lung tumors, which seriously threaten human health and life safety. CT-guided percutaneous pulmonary biopsy has been used in clinical practice for nearly 40 years. It is a safe and minimally invasive non-vascular interventional technique, which plays an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases^[1]。 At present, pulmonary puncture biopsy often only performs pathological examination. Although pathological examination can clarify the benign and malignant of most lesions, it is rarely used in the diagnosis of infectious diseases^[2]。 In addition, with the influence of many factors such as antimicrobial drugs, hormones, immunosuppressants, tumor radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and the environment, the incidence of special types of pulmonary infections such as atypical pulmonary tuberculosis, pulmonary invasive fungal diseases, viral pneumonia and non-specific pneumonia is increasing day by day. Because the clinical symptoms or signs of these pulmonary lesions are atypical, they often show nodular or diffuse pulmonary lesions of unknown nature, which are easily confused with non-infectious pulmonary diseases such as lung cancer and idiopathic interstitial pulmonary disease only based on imaging examination, resulting in misdiagnosis and delay of treatment. Therefore, the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of such pulmonary lesions has become a difficult problem to be solved urgently in clinic. For such pulmonary lesions, conventional methods such as sputum culture, blood culture or alveolar lavage fluid culture have certain limitations in clinical specimen collection and etiological diagnosis. However, CT-guided percutaneous lung biopsy can take appropriate amount of lung puncture tissue or bloody exudate samples for lung puncture histopathology combined with microbiological detection during lung puncture biopsy. The study showed that this combined detection scheme is a feasible means to improve the accuracy of diagnosis of pulmonary infectious diseases, and it is helpful for early diagnosis and timely treatment, and has a positive effect on improving the prognosis of patients, especially in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis, pulmonary invasive mycosis and special type of pneumonia with negative routine detection^[3,4,5]。 However, the combined detection scheme has not yet reached a consensus in the industry, which restricts the application of lung puncture technology in the diagnosis of pulmonary infectious diseases. Therefore, we follow the principle of evidence-based medicine, through literature search, expert discussion, combined with clinical practice to formulate this consensus for colleagues' reference, and aim to continuously improve in application.

On the afternoon of December 11, 2018, the Laboratory Branch of Jiangsu Medical Association held a general election meeting. The meeting was chaired by Minister Chen Jun of the Organization Department of Jiangsu Medical Association, and Chairman Xu Bin made a summary report on the work of the ninth committee. The 10th Committee of Laboratory Branch of Jiangsu Medical Association (51 members in total) was elected by the conference, with Professor Xu Bin as the former chairman, Professor Xu Wenrong as the current chairman, Professor Wang Junjun as the chairman-designate, Pan Shiyang, Wang Shukui, Ju Shaoqing and Ma Ping as vice chairmen, and 17 experts as standing members. Qian Hui and Xu Jian served as the academic secretaries of the Committee, and Zhang Xu served as the working secretary of the Committee.

More than 90 experts and more than 500 laboratory colleagues from Hunan, Beijing and Chongqing attended the meeting.

On November 7, 2018, the Peking University Medical Intelligent Laboratory Innovation and Development Forum, hosted by the Laboratory Department of Peking University First Hospital and the Laboratory Medicine Branch of Beijing Medical Association, and co-organized by the Laboratory Department of Peking University Third Hospital, the Laboratory Department of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, the Clinical Laboratory Medicine Center of Peking University 302 Clinical School of Medicine and the Laboratory Department of Peking University School of Medicine, was grandly held in Beijing.
