Plateau refers to the low pressure and low oxygen area above 3 000 m above sea level. acute mountain sickness (AMS) is a series of non-specific syndromes that occur due to the inability of the body to adapt to hypoxia exposure in a short time after plain people rush into the plateau area^[1]。 Epidemiological investigation shows that the proportion of acute altitude sickness occurring in plain people rushing into the plateau can reach about 50%^[2]Negative effects or economic losses on the implementation of emergency tasks in the plateau areas^[3]。 At present, AMS still uses subjective symptoms as the diagnostic basis, and lacks effective quantitative indicators for screening acute altitude sickness^[4]。 When the body is in a state of inflammation or injury, a series of stressors appear in plasma proteins, which induce rapid responses in the body, such as enhanced catabolism and changes in the concentration of certain proteins in plasma. This response is called acute phase response (APR). These plasma proteins are called acute phase proteins (APP), such as transferrin and haptoglobin. In this study, the healthy male youth who rushed into the plateau were selected, and the acute altitude sickness was comprehensively analyzed by serological indexes, so as to make a preliminary exploration for the early diagnosis of acute altitude sickness and the use of quantitative indexes.

Clinical blood routine testing items include red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, etc. At present, the widely used testing instrument for this item is a fully automatic five-category blood cell analyzer. However, in clinical applications, pseudothrombocytopenia can also occur in instrumental counting. The author analyzed the related causes of pseudothrombocytopenia in the clinical situation of automatic blood cell analyzer.

The three pathogens, Leishmania, Histoplasma and Penicillium manefei, all invade the reticuloendothelial system of human body, and are susceptible to people with low immunity, especially HIV patients. The visceral leishmaniasis, histoplasmosis and Penicillium manefei caused by them have similar clinical manifestations: long-term irregular fever, weight loss, progressive lymph node and hepatosplenomegaly. These three pathogens are all intracellular parasites, and their morphology is very similar under the microscope, which is easy to be misdiagnosed.

World Federation of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (World Association of Societies of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, WASPaLM) President Looi Laimeng, WASPaLM Secretary General Jagdish Butany, President of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) David Donald Koch, Xie Wenxiang, Chairman of Taiwan Province Medical Laboratory Society, Peng Yongheng, Chairman of Hong Kong Medical Laboratory Society, Guo Changneng, President of Macau Medical Laboratory Society, and internationally renowned laboratory medicine experts from the United States, Canada, Australia, Malaysia and other countries attended the conference and made academic exchanges. More than 1,600 laboratory medicine workers from all over the country attended the conference. At the same time, the conference held an exhibition of testing instruments, equipment, reagents and equipment, with 128 domestic and foreign companies participating in the exhibition.
