In 2008, the Special Committee on Food Allergy of the World Allergy Organization (WAO) adopted a theory-based approach and invited 22 experts from 13 countries, including allergists, pediatric allergists, general pediatricians, gastroenterologists, dermatologists, epidemiologists, methodologists, nutritionists and food chemists, to review the literature and reach a consensus, and formulated the Diagnosis and Rationale for Action against Cow's Milk Allergy (DRACMA).
Due to the in-depth development of international developmental behavioral pediatrics, the book was republished in 1992, 1999 and 2009, respectively, after the first edition of developmental behavioral pediatrics came out in 1983[
In recent 20 years, the incidence of diabetes has shown an obvious increasing trend[
In September 2011, the Pediatrics Branch of Chinese Medical Association officially announced the establishment of the Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Group at the 16th National Pediatrics Academic Conference, becoming the 13th sub-specialty under the pediatrics discipline.
Member of the 7th ~10th Editorial Committee of Chinese Journal of Pediatrics, 11th ~14th Special Editorial Committee, a famous pediatric endocrinology expert, one of the founders and founders of pediatric endocrinology in China, Professor Yan Chun of Beijing Children's Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, died in Beijing on May 14, 2012 at the age of 86 due to ineffective treatment.
Food allergies, especially cow's milk protein allergy (CMPA), have become a worldwide public health problem, increasing the burden on families and society. Although in recent years, many regions and countries have published guidelines on food allergy, which involve the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of CMPA. However, problems arising from practical work often fail to find answers in the guidelines recommendations, or there are inconsistencies. Therefore, the Special Committee of the World Allergy Organization (WAO) considers it necessary to invite relevant experts to evaluate the recent literature based on clinical research by reasoning method, and obtain a relatively consistent opinion on the diagnosis and treatment of CMPA for clinical application. In 2008, under the organization and funding of WAO, the Guidance on the Diagnosis and Related Theories of Milk Protein Allergy was started [Diagnosis and Rationale for Action against Cow's Milk Allergy (DRACMA) Guidelines] Written by DRACMA, 2010. WAO and the editor-in-chief of DRACMA hope that experts from various countries can translate DRACMA into different languages for the reference of clinicians in their countries. The author had the pleasure of participating in the writing of DRACMA. In order to allow Chinese clinicians to share the latest achievements of WAO as soon as possible, with the authorization of WAO and the editor-in-chief, with the strong support of Children's Hospital affiliated to Chongqing Medical University, relevant experts were organized to translate DRACMA into Chinese, which was officially published by People's Medical Publishing House. The Chinese version of DRACMA will help Chinese scholars to carry out the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of food allergies, especially CMPA. This will promote the research and development of food allergy in China, and at the same time, it will also promote the exchange and cooperation between Chinese pediatricians and the International Allergy Society.
