The pathophysiological process of sepsis involves a highly complex and integrated response of the body, including the activation of various cells, inflammatory mediators, and the coagulation system. In 1994, Lam C used in vivo microscope to observe the microcirculation of septic rats with stable blood pressure in vivo, and proposed for the first time that there were microcirculation changes in the early stage of sepsis; In 1999, orthogonal polarization spectroscopy (OPS) entered clinical application, which confirmed that the changes of sublingual microcirculation and internal organ microcirculation were basically consistent, which made scholars at home and abroad reach a consensus on the existence of microcirculation changes in the early stage of sepsis. In recent years, more and more studies suggest that microcirculation dysfunction is an important pathophysiological basis in the development of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS)[

Dr. Chen Xuwen(435200 Department of Pediatrics, Yangxin County People's Hospital, Hubei Province) Q:
In December 2010, the Ministry of Health launched the first batch of national key clinical specialty projects, and pediatrics critical care medicine (PCCM) was listed as the only subspecialty in pediatrics. This is undoubtedly a milestone event in the development history of PCCM in China. She clearly showed that PCCM in China has become independent of children's emergency medicine, and as a tertiary discipline under pediatrics, it has been officially recognized and highly valued by the national health administration. At the same time, it also indicates that the construction of PCCM and pediatrics intensive care unit (PICU) as its practice base and objective subject in China is about to enter a brand-new stage. Therefore, we will briefly describe our opinions on strengthening the construction of the theory and technology system of PCCM in China.
