IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is an inflammatory and fibrotic disease associated with IgG4 that has been gradually recognized in recent years. It usually involves single or multiple organs and is characterized by infiltration of IgG4-positive lymphocytes, accompanied by tissue fibrosis, enlargement or nodular lesions^[1,2]。 The disease often occurs in middle-aged and elderly men, and commonly involves pancreas, biliary tract, kidney, lung, lymph nodes, etc. in clinic, and the serum IgG4 level of most patients is significantly elevated. In this paper, two cases of IgG4-RD found in the clinic with serum IgG levels lower than IgG4 levels in the laboratory were analyzed.

Guangdong Medical Safety Association held the inaugural meeting of Laboratory Medicine Branch of Guangdong Medical Safety Association in Guangzhou on December 23, 2016. The committee elected Professor Wang Qian, vice president of Southern Medical University, as honorary chairman, Professor Zhang Xiuming of Shenzhen Luohu Hospital Group as chairman, Professor Duan Zhaohui of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Huang Bin of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Professor Qiu Yurong of Southern Medical University, Professor Zhou Hongwei of Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University, Professor Hou Tieying of Guangdong People's Hospital, Professor Zhou Yingchun of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Professor Chen Cha of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Professor Xu Banglao of Guangzhou First People's Hospital, Professor Tan Yaoju of Guangzhou Chest Hospital, Professor Wu Wenyuan of Shenzhen People's Hospital, Professor Zhou Yiwen of Shenzhen Hospital of Southern Medical University, Professor Li Wenxuan of Foshan First People's Hospital, Professor Wang Weijia of Zhongshan People's Hospital and Professor Chen Guanghui of Zhongshan Xiaolan People's Hospital as vice chairmen. The committee engaged Zou Wei, * Ren and others from Guangdong Provincial Clinical Laboratory Center as consultants. The meeting determined that the main functional task of the Laboratory Medicine Branch is to "improve laboratory quality and safety" and serve medical safety and patient safety.

The Beijing-Lu Blood Lipid Metabolism Test Summit Forum jointly organized by the Laboratory Medicine Professional Committee of Chinese Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, the Laboratory Medicine Professional Committee of Beijing Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and Shandong Clinical Laboratory Center was held in Beijing on December 16, 2016, with more than 200 representatives.
