HBV and HCV infection play an important role in the development of hepato-cellular carcinoma (HCC). In recent years, the Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Hepatitis B (2010 Edition) and the Standards for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Primary Liver Cancer (2011 Edition) issued in China both emphasize the importance of antiviral therapy for patients with liver cancer, but do not elaborate in depth. The Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Hepatitis C (2004 Edition) also noted that antiviral therapy delays the occurrence of HCC. In view of this, the Hepatology Group of Hepatology Branch of Chinese Medical Association held three symposiums, systematically collected and analyzed the existing clinical research literature on antiviral therapy in HCC comprehensive treatment, reviewed the clinical application progress of antiviral drugs in HCC treatment, and based on the existing evidence-based medical clinical data of virus-related HCC antiviral therapy, synthesized the opinions of some experts, according to the evidence-based medical evidence grading GRADE system (Table 1), reach a consensus on the application of antiviral therapy for these patients, and put forward the following specific suggestions for the reference of domestic colleagues, in order to modify and update according to new clinical medical evidence in the process of clinical practice, and further improve the implementation of the Standards for Diagnosis and Treatment of Primary Liver Cancer, Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Hepatitis B and Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Hepatitis C.
