To this end, the 2012 National Consensus Conference on Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Gastritis, sponsored by Gastroenterology Branch of Chinese Medical Association and hosted by Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine and Shanghai Institute of Digestive Diseases, was held in Shanghai from November 9 to 10, 2012. Eighty-two gastroenterology experts from all over the country repeatedly discussed and revised the draft consensus opinions written by experts from the previous drafting group, and adopted the Consensus Opinions on Chronic Gastritis in China by secret ballot.
