With the increasing incidence of dementia year by year, the treatment of dementia has received great attention. There are various treatments for dementia, including drug therapy, immunotherapy, gene therapy and neuropsychological therapy. Among them, drug treatment is still the main body of dementia treatment today. In recent years, in view of the efficacy of dementia treatment drugs, besides improving cognitive function, more attention has been paid to the overall quality of life management of dementia patients, so as to delay the progress of dementia to the maximum extent. In order to standardize the treatment of dementia, the writing group compiled a guideline for the treatment of dementia with reference to relevant clinical studies, meta-analyses and systematic reviews recently published at home and abroad, based on evidence-based medicine results and combined with the actual situation in China, so as to guide clinical practice. For the literature evidence level and recommendation strength criteria, please refer to the article "Chinese Guidelines for Dementia and Cognitive Impairment (I): Dementia Diagnosis Process" in the series published in this journal (see pages 577-581 of this journal, Volume 91, Issue 9, 2011).
