J Adv Res, 2020, 23: 113-121. DOI: 10.1016/j.jare.2020.01.016.). The study found that Chinese patients with diarrheal irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) and patients with depression have two identical susceptibility gene loci-SYT8 rs3741231 and SSPO rs12536873, in addition to discovering a new IBS-D susceptibility gene locus-COL6A1 rs13051496.
