The European Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension Registry (CTEPH) report, conducted between 2007 and 2012, found that pulmonary endarterectomy (PEA) has a significant impact on the long-term survival of patients with CTEPH. Since then, there have been 2 more inoperable treatments for CTEPH: balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA) and an approved oral drug therapy, the guanylate cyclase agonist riociguat. This registry aims to evaluate the long-term effects of these new treatments worldwide.
