venous thromboembolism (VTE), including deep venous thromboembolism (DVT) and pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE), is a common disease in hospitalized patients, often complicated by other diseases, is an important cause of unexpected death in hospital, and has become a serious problem faced by hospital administrators and clinical medical staff[1]。 The risk of nosocomial VTE is related to the patient's hospitalized condition and/or treatment measures such as surgery, as well as other coexisting risk factors such as advanced age, obesity, or other co-morbidities. Early identification of high-risk patients and timely prevention can significantly reduce the occurrence of VTE in hospitals. In order to standardize the clinical management of VTE, effectively carry out in-hospital VTE prevention, reduce the occurrence of VTE, and reduce medical expenses, the Thromboembolic Disease Prevention and Treatment Committee of Chinese Medical Association put forward this recommendation, aiming at guiding the scientific and effective in-hospital prevention and management of VTE, reducing medical risks and improving medical quality.
