On June 20, 2024, Portal Hypertension & Cirrhosis (PH&C) was officially confirmed to be included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) database and is expected to receive its first impact factor in 2025. The ESCI is a subset of the globally authoritative academic information database Web of Science.
PH&C is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that aims to publish cutting-edge academic advances on innovative achievements and practice in the field of portal hypertension and cirrhosis. The audience of the journal covers hepatologists, gastroenterologists, endoscopists, digestive surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, and etc. It is managed by the China Association for Science and Technology, sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association, published both by the Chinese Medical Journal Co.
