In January 2026, the Seminar on the High-Quality Development of the Chinese Medical Journal Cluster was held in Beijing. The meeting reviewed the cluster’s progress, discussed journal development, intelligent medical knowledge services, and high-quality dataset construction, and further promoted the cluster’s brand building and platform-based development.

The Chinese Medical Association Journals Publishing House Knowledge Service Platform, MedPaper®, has demonstrated stable performance and a well-established feature set, meeting the requirements for official launch. The platform is now formally open to researchers, clinicians, and all healthcare professionals across China.

Clarivate has recently released the 2026 Journal Citation Reports (JCR). Journals under the Chinese Medical Association performed strongly, with 21 English-language journals receiving impact factors. Among them, six journals were ranked in Q1.

On June 18, Nancy Chescheir, Chair of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), led a delegation on a visit to the Chinese Medical Association Publishing House. The two sides held in-depth discussions on publication ethics, collaboration among medical journals, digital publishing transformation, and opportunities for future international cooperation.

Its primary purpose is to assess the scientific soundness, validity, academic quality, and originality of a manuscript intended for publication.
