intracranial aneurysms (IA) are abnormal bulges on the wall of intracranial arteries. The disease often occurs in the arterial ring at the base of the brain (Willis ring). The natural incidence rate of this disease in the population is about 5% ~10%[1]。 Recent studies have shown that IA is a complex polygenic disease with a combination of genetic and environmental factors[2,3]。 With the application of genome-wide association study (GWAS) and exon sequencing, 5 genes and 14 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) sites were found to be closely related to IA[4,5,6]。 antisense non-coding RNA in the INK-4 Lucus, ANRIL, Chromosome 9P21.3 is located between the P15/CDKN2B-P16/CDKN2A-P14/ARF gene clusters, and encodes a long non-coding RNA strand, which is expressed in human vascular endothelial cells and coronary vascular smooth muscle cells[3]。 2012 Low et al.[4]With Foroud et al.[7]Multiple SNP loci of ANRIL gene were found to be susceptible gene loci of European and Japanese IA by GWAS method. This study will analyze the association between 8 SNP loci of ANRIL gene and IA in Shaanxi Han nationality through a case-control association study.
